Scope and Contents This collection contains the papers of the Alexander family of Mecklenburg Co., Va. It includes the letters of Sally Parker (Turner) Alexander, a letter from Lt. Norfleet Smith of Co. G, 3rd N. C. Cavalry, Barringer's Brigade, requesting 12 hour leave of absence, and a letter from Mark T. Alexander, Rosser's Cavalry Division, to his mother Sally Park (Turner) Alexander concerning disagreement between Thomas L. Rosser and Fitzhugh Lee.
